"This Old World" is a selection of songs written and recorded by Mitchell Bollig. This album lyrically tries to capture the tension between being a believer and walking in the world, Mitchell was initially inspired to record a western blues album stylistically similar to John Mayer's "Born and Raised."

This EP opens with a blues/rock song "This Old World," it eventually finds itself in a rock/reggae genre "To Live Without Love," a gospel soul composed rendition of the classic "I'll Fly Away," and ends with a profoundly raw and acoustic spontaneous song "Holy Spirit."
